Bio
Dr. Phillips joined NSU faculty in 2011, where she is currently ranked as a Professor
of Psychology and Counseling. Her research is informed both by traditional Social
Psychology and Evolutionary Psychology. Within this framework, most of her research
has consisted of two main topic areas: The general process of forgiveness, and reactions
to infidelity within romantic relationships.
How individuals process and deal with interpersonal transgressions ranging from mild
offenses, which seem to be part of our daily interactions, to more severe ones, such
as infidelity within romantic relationships.
I currently teach Experimental Psychology & Social Psychology. I have also taught
courses in Psychological Statistics, Evolutionary Psychology, Personal Relationships
and Introductory Psychology
