Sylvia Hunter

Bio

Sylvia Nitti was born on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. She moved to the United States at the age of seventeen to study art. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and has exhibited her work in many prestigious National and International exhibitions such as The Portrait Society of America and The Women Painting Women International Exhibition in New York. Her work is in collections in North America, Europe, and Australia, including the Contemporary Museum of Art in Nicosia, Cyprus. Sylvia's work has been featured in The Pastel Journal, International Artist, and The Guide Artists Magazines. In 2018 nine of Sylvia's paintings were included in the book "Master's of Contemporary Painting," written by filmmaker and artist Pedro Boaventura.
Sylvia currently teaches Drawing, Color, and Senior Exhibition classes and manages the Art gallery at NSU in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
