Bio

I have been at NSU since 2006 before which I was a licensed social worker in the Guidance program with the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Prior to that I spent 13 years with Child Welfare here in Oklahoma and supervised child welfare investigations and service planning. I have a BA in Psychology from NSU, an MSW from OU, and a PhD in Educational Psychology at OSU. My research interests include critical thinking, cognitive styles, moral development and evolutionary psychology. I presented research papers about college students' perceptions of learning, a paper examining the relationship between critical thinking dispositions and cognitive styles, and two papers on critical thinking recently. I also have an interest in the aging population and perform consulting work for hospice.
