Bio
Dr. Choate has been at Northeastern State University since 2010. He received his PhD
from Oklahoma State University in School Psychology in 2003. He is a Professor in
the Department of Psychology & Counseling. He is a licensed psychologist and licensed
professional counselor in the state of Oklahoma. He served as department chair from
2017 until 2020. Currently, he serves the College of Education (half-time) as the
NOFTA Endowed Chair for Professional Development and College Excellence. He currently
sits on the Oklahoma State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
