Bio

Dr. Bisogno is the Associate Dean of the College of Education (COE) at Northeastern State University and Professor of Special Education. She is the CAEP Coordinator for NSU-COE and Treasurer for the Oklahoma Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (OACTE). Dr. Bisogno graduated from Florida State University with a bachelors and masters degree in Exceptional Student Education. She received her Ph.D. in Leadership and Education from Barry Univ. in Miami, FL and she received Barry University's 2021 Distinguished Alumni Award in Collaborative Service. She taught in the public school setting for approximately ten years as a teacher of students with mild/moderate to severe/profound disabilities in the states of Florida and Alabama. Dr. Bisogno's area of expertise and research is in working with children with Autism. She loves instilling her passion for teaching children with disabilities to others and advocating for the teacher preparation programs she supports within her administrative role in higher education. Dr. Bisogno is actively engaged in her community as President Designate of the Rotary Club of Broken Arrow and active treasurer of a local school PTA.
