Time To Spread Your Wings - Future RiverHawks!

  • Get to know your classmates and instructors for your University Strategies class
  • Get some great advice from upperclassmen on what it takes to be successful at NSU
  • Find answers to all those questions you're too scared or embarrassed to ask
  • See where your classes will be located
  • Have fun make lifelong friends find out what college is all about
  • Find out about everything that NSU has to offer
  • Get enrolled in your first semester of college

A few things to note about the day you attend SOAR:

  • Registration: 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM. Please arrive during this time to allow for check-in and to visit our college showcase.
  • Program Time: Begins at 8:45 AM and runs until 4:30 PM. Please plan to be on campus all day.
  • Parking: Park in the parking lot on the North side of the WEBB building beside the University Center, in any spot marked as Commuter Parking.
  • Guests: Family members or guests are welcome to attend and participate in the RiverHawk Families Orientation Program.
  • Meals: Lunch for the student and a guest is included in registration.

Testing:

ACT scores determine whether you are required to take a placement exam prior to your SOAR session to ensure correct enrollment into one or more of your college courses. If testing is required, you will receive a separate email from NSU's Testing Services office, or you may call to find out which exams you may be required to take: 918-444-2139. If you are required to test and have not done so prior to your SOAR session, your SOAR session will be rescheduled.

Suggested Next Steps

  • Submit your final transcripts to the Department of Admissions & Recruitment.
  • Email you shot records and forms to immunizations@nsuok.edu. More information about specific requirements and forms can be found on the Student Immunization site.
  • Complete and save your MyMajors Assessment to assist with your advising time during SOAR.
