Bio

Dr. Kelli Carney is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at NSU. She is a professor in the Library Media and Information Technology graduate program and was recently named the Eddings Endowed Chair of Recruitment and Retention in Education. She has been in education 20 years, with experience as an elementary school teacher and school librarian before joining NSU’s faculty in 2012. Dr. Carney is an alum of NSU of both graduate and undergraduate programs, including a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education, as well as a Master’s of Science in Education and the School Library Media Certificate. She earned certification in the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Library Media in 2007 and continued her education at Oklahoma State University, earning a PhD in Curriculum Studies in 2013.
