NSU Majestics Take First Place in Open Kick Competition

TAHLEQUAH – Members of the Northeastern State University Majestics dance squad recently took first place in the Open Kick Division at the Athletic Championships National Competition held at the UMAC at Union High School in Tulsa on Dec. 6-7.

The team placed first with a mean score of 9.18 out of 10 for the overall competition. Dance and cheerleading teams from across the region participated at the two-day competition.

The members of the NSU Majestics include Mariko Hirata, of Nagasaki, Japan, DeeAnn Amlin, of Tahlequah, Andie Doe, of Sperry, Alex Wolfe, of Omaha, Neb., April Truitt, of Hulbert, Tory Hand, of Tahlequah, Kallie Williamson, of Roland, Sara Pelton, of Sand Springs, and Lenzi Davidson, of Westville.
