NSU’s Sequoyah Institute presents “Magic Moments” – April 4

(Tahlequah, Oklahoma) - Northeastern State University will host Leonard, Coleman and Blunt as they present “Magic Moments” at 7:30 p.m. April 4 at the NSU Center for the Performing Arts. The performance is part of the 2018-19 Sequoyah Institute Performing Arts Series.

Glenn Leonard, Joe Coleman and Joe Blunt have been the lead singers of the most legendary vocal groups of all time, the Temptations, Platters and Drifters. They now perform as Leonard, Coleman and Blunt. During “Magic Moments” they’ll serenade the audience with some of the most memorable songs in the history of soul, rhythm and blues.

Concert attendees will enjoy showmanship, classic dance moves and some of the biggest hits of all time, including “The Great Pretender,” “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,” “Save the Last Dance for Me” and many more.

“We are thrilled to have this group coming to campus,” Dr. Robyn Pursley, assistant dean of the College of Liberal Arts, said. “The music of the ’60s is something that I think everybody is familiar with, so this will be a show that anyone can enjoy. It will be a great finale to our 2018-19 season and a wonderful segue into our 2019 River City summer season.”

Tickets for the performance may be purchased online at, by phone at 918-444-4500 or in person weekdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sequoyah Institute Box Office, now conveniently located at 300 N. Muskogee Ave., at the NSU Playhouse. Tickets will also be available at the Center for the Performing Arts Box Office beginning one hour before show time.

Individual performance tickets, season tickets and group discounts are available. As always, tickets are free for NSU students with a current ID. Special ticket pricing is also available for NSU faculty, staff and alumni.
