NSU Career Services to host Spring Teacher Job Fair – April 21
(Broken Arrow, Okla)--Northeastern State University’s Career Services department is hosting its annual Teacher Job Fair on Tuesday, April 21 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Administrative Services Building, Second Floor, Ballroom, on the Broken Arrow campus.
The well-attended fair provides students, higher education institutions, and school districts the opportunity to meet NSU students in an informal setting to recruit for post-graduation career opportunities.
“This is an excellent hiring event for both educators looking to secure a job and school districts who are working to fill positions,” Sarah Tilley, intern for Career Services at NSU, said.
The event is open to NSU students, and admission is free. Appropriate attire is business professional and attendees are encouraged to bring several copies of their resume, as well as business cards.
Optional preliminary interviews will be held for students participating in the fair from 1 to 3 p.m.
As of April 7, 50 schools have signed up to attend the fair; however, Tilley said that Career Services hopes to see approximately 80 schools present at the event.
Career Services offers numerous services for students to prepare for the event, including Optimal Resume software, free business cards, which are available upon request through Career Services, and one-on-one resume building sessions. Career Services is located in the CASE Building, Upper Level on the Tahlequah campus and in Suite 130 of the Administrative Services Building on the Broken Arrow campus.
