(Tahlequah, Okla.)--As part of the 2012 Advanced Photography Tour, 10 students from Northeastern State University spent the first week of July in Boston.
After capturing unique and diverse views of the city and surrounding area, the students are choosing their best images and preparing them to hang in a photo exhibit that will be part of Welcome Week activities at NSU to open the fall semester.
The exhibit runs August 13-31 on the second floor landing of the John Vaughan Library. The opening reception is August 16 from 6-8 p.m. Refreshments will be served and attendees can visit with the contributing photographers.
"Boston on the Fourth of July was amazing," said Mike Brown, course instructor. "The students spent almost every waking hour 'hoofing it' on the streets, riding the subways, trains and ferries and exploring all the city had to offer. I am expecting some amazing images to be on display."
Students attending the tour were Natalie Sullivan of Cleveland, Okla., Demi Gilliam of Warner, Ryan Beck of Inola, Christine Crockett of Owasso, Brenda Bradford of Westville, Amanda Groves of Muldrow and Micah Brown, Barbara Davis, Roxann James and Alicia DeMellier of Tahlequah.
