Cindy Morrison, Emmy-award winning TV journalist and the 2010 spring commencement speaker at NSU-Broken Arrow, will be on the Tahlequah and Broken Arrow campuses next Monday, May 10 to sign copies of her book, Girlfriends 2.0.
She will be at the Barnes and Noble bookstores in Tahlequah from 10 a.m. to noon and in Broken Arrow from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. In her book – subtitled “Why You Must Reboot and Upgrade Your Girlfriends NOW!” -- Morrison explores ways that women can surround themselves with a supportive girlfriend network and build a more balanced life, both personally and professionally.
A pre-release edition will be available at the book signing event, and the book is scheduled for national release in June.
Morrison will address graduates at the NSU-Broken Arrow commencement ceremony at the Union Multi-Purpose Activity Center on Monday, May 17, at 7 p.m.
Dr. Rennard Strickland, author and nationally renown expert on Native American law and culture, will deliver the commencement address in Tahlequah on Saturday, May 15 at 10 a.m. Several books authored by Strickland are also available for sale at NSU’s Barnes and Noble Bookstores.
