What is your favorite place on campus?
The new NSU Event Center is my favorite place on campus. It opened two years ago and is home to our men’s and women’s basketball teams, so it’s a great place to go and watch the games!
Where is your favorite place to eat in town?
If you’re looking for a local place, Sam and Ella’s has fantastic pizza, and Las Maracas has the best Mexican food in town. Of course there’s also Buffalo Wild Wings if you want a place to hang out and watch all the sporting events that are happening.
What is your favorite thing to do in Tahlequah?
The Illinois River is a beautiful place to spend a summer day relaxing on a raft or hanging out on the river bank. Also, be involved as much as possible on campus because it makes your college experience that much more fun for you! There’s never a dull moment on campus!
How did you know the college you chose was the right fit?
I transferred to NSU from the University of Oklahoma, and in turn I made the best decision I could have. I came here knowing nobody on campus, and within the first week I had made so many friends because of how close everyone on campus was. At a larger university I probably wouldn’t have done a lot of the things I did while I was a student at NSU. I was the president of my fraternity, something that I would have never considered doing before coming to NSU. This university helped me to break out of my comfort zone and branch out into becoming the person I am today, and I wouldn’t have changed anything about it.
