How and when do I apply for scholarships?

You can apply for scholarships using the online scholarship application. Scholarship deadlines are listed on the applications; however, many are as early as January 5. The earlier you apply the better chance you have of receiving a scholarship. For more information, visit the NSU scholarship website.

 

What are the criteria to apply for the President's Leadership Class scholarship?

The President's Leadership Class is a unique scholarship program designed to cultivate outstanding potential in proven student leaders. Applicants for the PLC should display outstanding leadership capabilities and must have an exceptionally strong academic record. PLC members are awarded $10,805 per academic year for four years. While in college, students in PLC are expected to complete a minimum of 30 semester credits per academic year while maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25. The application deadline is Feb. 1. Does a Texas student pay out-of-state tuition?

A portion of students' out-of-state tuition is waived for eligible new freshmen and transfer students from Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and Texas who are admitted as regular students (not on probation nor have any academic deficiencies) and are not applying for the Optometry program. Visit the Scholarship website for complete requirements. Applications for our "Quad State" Tuition Waiver Scholarship are due by August 1

 

Can I use NSU scholarships with my Oklahoma's Promise?

Yes! Unlike most universities, NSU will "stack" your Oklahoma's Promise scholarships with our academic and institutional scholarships to help you get the most out of your financial aid. For more information, visit Oklahoma's Promise at NSU.
