What is a podcast?

A podcast is a digital media file that is distributed over the Internet by syndication feeds. It is downloaded directly onto your computer and can be played there or on a portable media player.

iTunes is the proprietary software of Apple that plays and organizes a variety of media. Files can be downloaded through iTunes, which is available for Mac OS X, Windows Vista, and Windows XP.
