In 2001, The Mike Synar Center was opened. It is a monument to the vision of Mike Synar, former U.S. Congressman from the 2nd District of Oklahoma from 1979 to 1995.

Synar's insight about the ways in which technology and telecommunications were changing the world transcends his death and provides a glimpse into the future of his state and his country. In the age of global competition, The Mike Synar Center provides a link to the great minds and libraries of the world.

The Mike Synar Center is a 40,000 square foot, two-story educational facility that contains offices and classrooms equipped to facilitate distance learning and state-of-the-art, technologically advanced classrooms, complete with computers, multi-media, and telecommunications. It houses the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
