Basic Information about the GRE

GRE test measures verbal, quantitative and analytical skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and are not related to any specific field of study.

Verbal (V) 30 minute section 30 questions
Quantitative (Q) 45 minute section 28 questions
Analytical (A) 75 minute section 2 writing task
Present your Perspective on an Issue (45 minutes)
Analyze an Argument (30 minutes)

The Tulsa Prometric Center offers the test as follows:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:30am and 12:30pm
  • Thurs, Friday, Saturday 8:30 am and 12:30pm

They accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express. Please call for cost of test. When you finish the test, your scores will appear on the screen. You should record your scores from the screen, give them to the Testing Center Assistant, and request an unofficial copy of your scores. Your official scores will be mailed to the appointed schools within about two weeks. You may take the computer-based General Test once per calendar month up to 5 times in a 12-month period.
