Kappa Delta Pi Honorary Membership
Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society for education students and educators, completes its 93rd year in 2004, continuing a proud tradition of scholarship and excellence in education. Kappa Delta Pi elects those to memberships who exhibit the ideals of scholarship, high professional standards, and promise in teaching and allied professions.
Benefits include:
- Recognition of scholarship and educational achievements;
- Opportunities for professional development through scholarships, educational meetings and conferences, and service programs;
- Opportunities for leadership training;
- Publications and services for beginning and experienced teachers; and
- Membership in the honor society may be of benefit in applying for a job.
Membership Requirements:
- Undergraduates
- must have an overall GPA of 3.25 or higher with at least 50 college hours earned. Twelve (12) of the 50 hours must be earned through Northeastern. (Note: Students are eligible for membership if the 12 hours will be completed by the end of present term.) Graduate Students must have full graduate standing and an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher with a minimum of 6 graduate hours applicable to the degree program completed at Northeastern State University.
- Graduate
- must also have at least 6 hours of Professional Education courses completed, in progress, or programmed. (Note: NSU Faculty, teachers and administrators in the field can also apply for membership.)

On the Broken Arrow Campus, they are available from Jeannie Hardgrove, Secretary, Building C, 153, and Cindy Fries, Associate KDP Counselor, Building C ,147. Return applications with a $45.00 check made out to Kappa Delta Pi and mail to: Dr. Janette Rogers, NSU, College of Education, Tahlequah, OK 74464, by March 26, 2004.
