On September 9, 2003, Northeastern State University’s growing presence in the Greater Tulsa Metropolitan
Area received a significant vote of confidence when Tulsa County voters overwhelmingly approved Vision 2025 thus
releasing $26 million for the second phase of development at the University’s two-year-old Broken Arrow campus.
Construction of Phase II will add science, library and classroom facilities and expand the campus capacity from 3,500 to 8,000.
Construction continues on this Vision 2025 project, which is scheduled to be completed in Spring 2007.

Construction was completed on Northeastern State University's Science Center in Fall 2006. Funded by a revenue bond issued by the University,
the $10 million lab facility is located on the east side of the current Science Building in Tahlequah. The ultra modern, three-story
facility encompasses nearly 62,000 square feet and includes space for both teaching and research for physics, chemistry, and
biology programs. The center comprises 26 laboratories and is able to serve more than 400 students per lab session.
