This review of  NSU's first 100 years in photography and historic prose is expected to be released in spring 2009. Submissions of Northeastern photos and memorabilia of historic interest for consideration are welcome.

Sequoyah Sculpture

Bronze statue of Sequoyah (George Guess), creator of the Cherokee syllabary, will stand in tribute to NSU's shared history with the Cherokee Nation. The statue will be located at the entrance to campus, south of Seminary Hall. Scheduled to be unveiled on Founders Day, March 6, 2009, to officially launch the Centennial Celebration.

The Centennial Sculpture Committee has selected Daniel HorseChief's sculpture of Sequoyah (George Guess), creator of the Cherokee syllabary.
