Specific Requirements for Preparation for Professional Schools

Basic Engineering Requirements

The student who expects to enter a school of engineering should declare intent immediately and be assigned an engineering adviser. Early engineering advisement is essential. The mathematics sequence should be started with the first enrollment at a course level determined by the mathematics background of the student. The student should deviate from the following list of specific courses only if recommended by the engineering advisor. Requirements for a degree vary by area of specialization and institution.
