4023 Materials for Children (Formerly Children’s Literature)

Resources and services for children in terms of their needs, interests, and abilities. Evaluation, selection, and use of multi-media materials in school media centers. Prerequisite: Successful completion (grade of “C” or better) or concurrent enrollment in EDUC 3313, Clinical Teaching. Must have at least a 2.5 grade point average.

4611 Electronic Information Retrieval

This course is designed to develop skills, techniques and strategies for retrieving information in a variety of electronic formats through hands on experience in a computer laboratory. Instruction on the use of Internet, World Wide Web, electronic indexes, and online catalogs is provided.
