| ENGLISH PROFICIENCY | English proficiency is a graduation requirement. Components I and II of English proficiency should be met with grades of “C” or better prior to graduation. |

Spch, Lit), Math, Science and Social Science (Econ, Geog, Hist, Pol Sci, Psyc, Soc) prior to graduation. |
| PROFESSIONAL PORTFOLIO | All students pursuing initial and advanced teacher
certification are required to develop a portfolio which
documents their accomplishments, learning, and strengths related to the competencies, standards, and outcomes established by the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation, Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, and the Oklahoma State Department of Education. |
The student who completes requirements for either the Bachelor of Arts in Education degree or the Bachelor of Science in Education degree and achieves passing scores on the Oklahoma General Education Test (OGET), the Oklahoma Subject Area Test (OSAT), and the Oklahoma Professional Teaching Exam (OPTE) will be eligible, upon recommendation of the Director of Teacher Education, to apply for a teaching license. A successful completion of a residency year is required to obtain a standard Oklahoma teaching certificate.
