The College of Business and Technology (CBT) at Northeastern State University offers the following graduate programs;

Additional choices for students include areas of emphasis that are available on several majors of the BBA including Financial Planning on the Finance major, Human Resource Management on the Management major, Promotion, Retailing, and Fashion Marketing on the Marketing major, and Meetings, Destinations, and Gaming on the Hospitality & Tourism major. There are three areas of emphasis on the Bachelor of Technology degree; Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Logistics, and Service. The College also offers a minor in business for non-business majors. Courses in Economics and Law are included in the College’s offerings.
All programs in the College of Business and Technology have been developed to provide the knowledge and skills essential for beginning a career and the background to grow and succeed in the graduate’s chosen profession. Skills include technical, analytical, as well as developing the personal attributes necessary for success.
All majors on the BBA, the MBA & MAFA program have all been nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The college is a member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).
The College of Business and Technology strives to become considered by the business community as Northeastern Oklahoma’s “Premier Business School.”
The academically and professionally qualified faculty of the CBT are committed to developing both undergraduate and graduate students with the knowledge and skills to succeed in the region’s workplace. The college does this by offering innovative business and technology programs tailored to the needs of northeast Oklahoma, while developing the graduate’s practical and applied skills that meet those needs.
For admission to the BBA Program, students must have completed (30) credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Included in these 30 hours must be ENGL 1113, ENGL 1213, and MATH 1513 with a grade of “C” or better. Satisfaction of the university’s computer proficiency is also required. Students failing to meet these admission requirements will be limited in the business classes they may take until all requirements are completed. Students in all CBT programs must read and sign the CBT Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct may be found on the CBT web site.

Any double major (one of which is in business) must meet all requirements of the business major, including the business core.
A student may earn a minor by completing 18 hours in one of the following fields of study. Note: Some minor fields are structured. Refer to program section for specific requirements.
Students choosing the BS in Environmental Management, the BS in Safety Management or the Bachelor of Technology programs should consult the requirements in the following program pages in the catalog. Advisors are assigned through the Department of Information Systems & Technology, Contact the departmental office for more information.
Students in all CBT programs must read and sign the CBT Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct may be found on the CBT web site.
Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in the Business Core and required and/or elective major courses to graduate. Grades lower than a “C” in these areas on transfer credit will not be applied to the degree.
In order to assure sufficient theoretical course work, a maximum of six hours of internship or other experiential based courses will count towards requirements for a major in any field of business.
Transfer students must complete at least 18 hours or 50 percent of their courses in their major (whichever is greater) at NSU.

For minors not otherwise stipulated, 18 hours of courses or their equivalent as specified in Northeastern State University’s course catalog are required. Minors are not available in Business Administration or Business Law or Financial Planning.
An academic advisor is available through the College of Business & Technology Dean’s Office to work with students pursuing BBA degrees who have yet to select a major. Once a student has declared a major, he/she will be assigned a faculty advisor in their intended field of study.
