Placement Retesting Policy for Developmental Classes

Students are encouraged to take the placement tests well before classes begin so they can study and retest, if necessary, to try and avoid taking developmental classes. Students must wait a minimum of thirty days after taking the placement tests before they are eligible to retest. Only one opportunity for a retest will be allowed to each student and the student must be within 10 points of passing in order to retest. once classes begin, only exceptional circumstances will warrant retesting and the student must seek approval from the instructor teaching the class to be retested in that subject area.
