Freshmen Student Admission & Enrollment

Requirements

	To be regularly admitted, you must submit the following to the Office of Admissions & Records:

	An NSU admission application

	An Offical high school transcript with class rank and grade point average

	ACT scores

	ACT code for NSU is 3408

You Must meet performance requirements to be eligible for admission:

	Maintained a four-year high school grade point average of 2.70 or higher on a 4.00 gradping scale and ranked scholastically among the upper 50% of their graduating class; or

	Attained a composite score of 20 or higher on the ACT (or similar) acceptable battery of tests

After receiving your acceptance letter you will call and make an appointment to enroll with the First Year Experience Office. You will also take any applicable tests (if needed).

On the day that you come to NSU to enroll you may also wish to fill out a contract for University Housing, visit Financial Aid and get your student ID.

Freshmen Connection Sessions

	This premiere two day orientation session will help you ease the transition to college by giving you the tools you need to be ready for the first day of school. You are guaranteed to find the answers to every question you have about your upcoming exciting first semester at NSU while having fun at the same time!

	Freshmen Connections is the two days before your other classes begin. Check with the First Year Experience office for the dates!!

What can freshmen connections do for me?

Get to know your classmates and instructors for your College Strategies class

Hook up to the NSU Network by getting your NSU UserID, email, passwords, etc.

Find out about everything that NSU has to offer!

Get some great advice from upperclassmen on what it takes to be successful at NSU

Find answers to all those questions you're too scared or embarrassed to ask

See where your classes will be

Have fun ... Make lifelong friends ... find out what college is all about

All Freshmen are required to attend Freshmen Connections as part of their College Strategies class. You will not be able to pass the class if you don't come. We want you to be connected to the University to increase your opportunities for success!
