 | | When you join the NSU Alumni Association, you will automatically receive Imprints, the official magazine of Northeastern State University. Through Imprints, we share the essence of what we're doing and where we're headed. This successor to the award-winning Redmen Magazine is published twice annually and contains features and news articles about issues affecting Northeastern and its alumni. We also strive to bring you the latest information about faculty, staff, and student accomplishments, and help you catch up on milestones in the lives of fellow alumni. In fact, we will encourage you as an Alumni Association member to send information that we can share with your fellow alums. Why the name Imprints? Chalk it up to fascination with a tradition set in concrete. Back in 1951, a Northeastern biology professor stopped a crew pouring a sidewalk in front of the Fine Arts Auditorium and asked them to press a leaf into the wet form. The idea of setting leaf impressions in concrete soon became popular on campus. Even today, the varied shapes of maple, sycamore, oak, magnolia, walnut, sweet gum, and mulberry leaves are often the first things visitors to campus notice. They leave a lasting impression, just as we hope Imprints will on each of our readers.
Class Acts: We would also love to hear about the joys and successes in your life. If you have news you would like to share with your fellow alumni, please submit that information to be included in Imprints.
