Tips for Promoting Advising Students Academic Alert Second-Year |
The First-Year Experience & Enrollment Services are your partner for student retention. We are particularly concerned about the persistence of our freshman class at NSU. Together, we all went to great lengths to attract this record class of new students ... now we must all do our part to keep them. As you know, these students are not yet familiar with our policies and expectations and need an occasional prompting from someone who cares. If you are a faculty member responsible for teaching zero- or lower-level general education classes this semester, please consider using the Academic Alert Notice form to report your students who are not doing their part. This service is designed to help you convey your concerns via FYE to those who are not attending regularly or are neglecting their responsibilities to the class. We will forward your comments and recommendations to the student by mail. Reminders: · Don't send a notice to someone who has already been reported
