Advanced Placement Program

NSU will award credit to entering freshman who have attained satisfactory scores in the AP Program administered by the College Entrance Examination Board.  This program allows students, while in high school, to take examinations for credit at the college level.

NSU will accept scores of 3, 4, or 5.  The table below is a listing of the course equivalencies for each individual AP examination.

Credit will be placed on the student's permanent transcript after the successful completion of 12 semester hours of work at NSU and a $15 per-credit-hour fee is paid.  An AP transcript must be received before the credit will be awarded.  In requesting an AP transcript be sent to NSU utilize the recipient code number: 6485.
