San Jose Taiko Matinee Performances Scheduled For Kids

TAHLEQUAH – In an effort to introduce children of all ages to different cultures, Northeastern State University and the Sequoyah Institute will host two morning performances of San Jose Taiko’s Rhythm Spirit at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 and Wednesday Oct. 10 for school-age children.

One of the main goals of the Sequoyah Institute is to introduce children in our community to the arts of different cultures,” said Megan White. “Experiencing the arts opens a world of possibilities for children to see and explore cultures they would never have the opportunity to otherwise.

Tickets for the morning show are $1.50 per student. The shows are held at the NSU Center for the Performing Arts.

NSU and the Sequoyah Institute are bringing San Jose Taiko’s Rhythm Spirit to the NSU Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. The show is sponsored by Tahlequah Pediatrics.
