TULSA – The Tulsa Metro Chamber recently honored John Blue, northeast regional director for the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center at Northeastern State University – Broken Arrow, with the 2007 Veteran Small Business Champion award.

Blue has worked as a business counselor for 13 years assisting entrepreneurs from across Oklahoma achieve their dreams. With a special interest in assisting minority-, women- and veteran-owned businesses, Blue and his staff have led successful conferences, expos and workshops targeting American Indians, women and armed services veterans.
Blue, a graduate of Oklahoma Central State University with a degree in math and a minor in business management, is a member of the Business Assistance Team of Broken Arrow and chairs the Building Resources in Developing and Growing Enterprises Committee for the city of Tulsa Human Right Division.
