TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Graduation day is nearing for many students at Northeastern State University. The dates for the 106th Spring 2014 commencement ceremonies are May 9, 10 and 12.
Approximately 1,200 spring and summer 2014 graduates will walk across the stage during NSU’s commencement ceremonies.
NSU-Tahlequah commencement ceremonies will take place in the new NSU Event Center, 1041 N. Grand Ave. Tahlequah, Okla. and will be as follows: The College of Liberal Arts commencement is Friday, May 9 at 6 p.m.; College of Education and College of Optometry commencement is Saturday, May 10 at 9:30 a.m.; and College of Business and Technology and College of Science and Health Professions is Saturday, May 10 at 1:30 p.m.
The NSU-Broken Arrow commencement ceremony will be at Oral Roberts University’s Mabee Center, 7777 S. Lewis Ave. Tulsa, Okla. on Monday, May 12 at 7 p.m.
Giving this year’s commencement address is State of Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor, Todd Lamb. Along with Lamb’s address, NSU will also have a student speaker at each spring ceremony.
During May ceremonies, NSU recognizes ROTC graduates, Honors Program graduates, President’s Leadership Class graduates, Gates Millennium Scholars and those receiving academic honors.
For the spring and summer 2014 terms, there are 963 bachelor’s applications, 228 master’s and 27 Doctor of Optometry students. NSU will confer approximately 1,200 students.
