Downtown Country to Hold Benefit Performance of "A Country Christmas"

TAHLEQUAH – The cast of Northeastern State University’s Downtown Country will host a special benefit concert for the family of cast member Jacob Oliver, whose home was destroyed in a fire on Nov. 29.

The performance of “A Country Christmas” will be held Thursday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the NSU Playhouse. Since this is a benefit performance, ticket prices are listed as “Name Your Own Price,” with a suggested minimum of $10 per ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the door, or by calling 918-458-2075. All proceeds go to benefit the Oliver family.

Anyone unable to attend the performance that would still like to help can make a donation at the Tahlequah Bank of America location. You may take donations there, or mail them to the following address: Bank of America, Attn: Contributions for Sandy Oliver, 100 S. Muskogee Avenue, Tahlequah, OK 74464.

Additionally, Downtown Country is accepting donations of clothing, cookware, and other household items through Thursday evening. To schedule a time to deliver to the Playhouse, please contact Kelli Doolen Farmer at doolen@nsuok.edu.
