TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Local job, internship and post graduate recruiters are invited to Northeastern State University for the Spring 2013 Career and Graduate School Fair on Feb. 27 from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Sen. Herb Rozell Ballroom of the University Center.

The fair, hosted by the NSU Office of Career Services, is a networking opportunity for organizations and institutions to meet potential employees and graduate students. Recruiters can talk with NSU students about full-time and part-time positions, internships and the application process. Graduate schools can share application requirements and information.

"Whether you are in the market for a full-time job, internship or graduate school now, or in the future, this is the event for you," said Gayle Anderson, Career Services coordinator. "More than 70 organizations are currently registered to participate in the event."

Career Services can assist those wanting to create, update or improve a resume through Optimal Resume. Registration for Optimal Resume is available at http://offices.nsuok.edu/careerservices/OptimalResume.aspx.

The event is open to NSU students and alumni and admission is free. Appropriate attire is business professional and attendees should bring several resumes.

"As a first year intern at Career Services, I highly encourage my fellow classmates to attend this great opportunity to create connections for the future," said Kelsey Parcell, Bixby junior. "I wasn't fully aware of everything the Career and Graduate School Fair could offer until I began working first-hand with the event."

Citing the quality and diversity of the NSU student body, Anderson encouraged employers and recruiters to register for the event. Registration is open through Feb. 20.

"NSU provides nearly 100 degree programs to meet the needs of our nearly 10,000 students who attend classes at Tahlequah, Muskogee, and Broken Arrow," she said. "NSU has the highest American Indian enrollment of any public 4-year university. Organizations should not miss out on this opportunity to connect with outstanding NSU students in hiring for careers, internships, or co-op positions. Our staff strives to build and maintain relationships with alumni and employers who can provide opportunities for NSU students and alumni. We want to facilitate the development of these organizations' on-campus presence."
