TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Western swing legends Asleep at the Wheel will perform their "Santa Loves to Boogie" concert to wrap the fall portion of the Galaxy of Stars Series, presented by the Sequoyah Institute at Northeastern State University.
The concert is Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the NSU Center for the Performing Arts, 605 N. Grand Ave. NSU students are admitted free.
Founded in 1970, Asleep at the Wheel is a nine-time Grammy winning western swing band which has enlisted nearly 100 members through 42 years of continuous touring and recording.
Fronting the band since its inception is Ray Benson. Other current members are Jason Roberts, David Sanger, David Miller, Dan Walton, Eddie Rivers and Elizabeth McQueen.
Prices per ticket are $20 for adults, $18 for NSU alumni, $16 for NSU employees and seniors 60 and over, and $10 for students. Those presenting an NSU student ID are admitted free.
