(Tahlequah, Okla.)--Four finalists for provost and vice president of academic affairs have been invited to campus at Northeastern State University. Each candidate’s curriculum vitae is available on the Human Resources site.
The public is invited to attend a presentation by each candidate and a subsequent reception. All presentations are at 3:30 p.m. in the W. Roger Webb Educational Technology Center. All receptions are in the Webb Center lobby.
Candidates, sites and dates are: Dr. Dale Ostlie, Webb Center auditorium, ITV in Syn 141, BABT 225, August 7; Dr. Clyde Bagley, Webb Center auditorium, ITV in Syn 141, BABT 225,August 8; Dr. Tom Erekson, Webb Center Room 614, ITV in Syn 141, BABT 225, August 14; Dr. William Rugg, Webb Center auditorium, ITV in Syn 141, BAED 121, August 15.
Ostlie is a professor of physics and immediate past dean of the College of Science at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. He earned his Ph.D. in physics with an emphasis in astrophysics at Iowa State University.
Bagley is dean of the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville. He holds a Ph.D. in animal science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Erekson serves as dean and a professor in the College of Business and Technology at Western Illinois University in Macomb. He was awarded his Ph.D. in vocational and technical education by the University of Illinois.
Rugg is a charter board member, consultant and faculty member of The Customer Experience Institute and resides in Reno, Nev. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi in higher education administration and student services.
The provost is a senior administrative officer who assumes the responsibilities of the university presidency when the president is away from campus. The provost fulfills daily duties as vice president of academic affairs. The Office of Academic Affairs promotes NSU's academic endeavors by supporting excellence in teaching, scholarly activity and service to the community.
