Membership: In addition to the chair, one faculty member from each undergraduate college and the College of Optometry, and representatives from each of the following areas: Library, Computing and Telecommunications, Web Services, Business Affairs, Enrollment Management, Student Financial Services, Budgeting, Auxiliary Services, Development, Human Relations and Student Affairs. The Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Director of Computing and Telecommunications will serve as ex officio. Chair is appointed by the President.
Functions: The University Technology Committee represents the computing and related needs of the University and provides leadership designed to keep the University at the forefront of technological advances. The committee assesses academic and administrative needs pertaining to hardware, software, standards, networks, services, policies, etc.; reviews policies and services of the Computing and Telecommunications Department; and annually reviews and updates the three and five-year computing and telecommunications plan. The committee will strive to understand and anticipate the needs of the university community and make recommendations to the Executive Technology Council which enhance the academic experience and support the administrative needs of the university.
Meetings: At least once per semester and as called by the chair. Recommendations are forwarded to the Executive Technology Council.
